Living Future Europe, in collaboration with the Biophilic Society, a community of biophilic design lovers, has launched a new free online course: the Biophilic Society Ambassador Programme. The initiative forms part of a broader effort to establish the Biophilic Society – a living system and virtual space dedicated to promote the culture of biophilia.
Biophilic design has gained renewed relevance in the aftermath of the global pandemic, offering regenerative pathways for healthier cities and communities. By challenging conventional design processes, it invites practitioners to reframe their approach, prioritising the connection between human well-being and the natural world.
This new programme introduces participants to the principles, scientific grounding, and practical applications of biophilic design. Delivered through selected recordings from the Biophilic Society Gatherings, the course explores:
The science and urgency of biophilia;
The relationship between biophilia and place-making;
Case studies in practice; and
Strategies for advocacy and communication.
The course is open to all and aims to foster a growing network of professionals committed to nature-connected design.
