What does it mean to truly belong to a place?
In this edition of the ‘Biophilic Society Gathering’, we welcome Madeleine Kate McGowan — artist, curator and regenerative practitioner — for a conversation inspired by ‘The Garden Caretaker’, an artistic practice that invites us to rethink how we relate to the living world.
Rather than asking how we can design better places, Madeleine’s work explores a more fundamental question: how can we learn to care for, listen to and become part of the places we inhabit?
Drawing on her work within the ‘DESIRE – Designing the Irresistible Circular Society’ New European Bauhaus Lighthouse project, we’ll explore how art, ecology and community can help cultivate deeper relationships between people and the more-than-human world.
